The Coffee House is Open 24/7

Ning has changed some features around.

On the tool bar below (?) you will find our "chat" feature: "The Coffee House" where members can meet and visit, discussing whatever is one their minds.

Please remember that, just like in a real coffee house, you may be seen and heard by many people, even ones that you don't know are listening. your comments often linger long after you are gone.

So please remember to keep that in mind when conversing. Be safe and have fun.

Opportunities for You

Deadline: Ongoing

Here is an internet site looking for Creative Non-fiction about teens' real life situations. It comes highly recommended so you may want to check it out.

Welcome!!

Someone told me once that it is very important to create a community of writers and artists. This is my effort at doing just that. Some of our members have MySpace pages; some do not. But even on MySpace we are not creating the tight community that I believe is essential for all of you to grow. Now we have something open that you can use to show off your talents to each other, to experiment, and to communicate.

Not all our members are from the same area any more and I want us all to feel like we are a part of something big. Because we are! And it will be growing everyday.

This is not my forum. It is yours. I want to see you posting questions and giving responses. We all find our way through this together.

Invite your creative friends to join. Post videos of you reading your work or of a short movie you made. Post your artwork so that we all can see it. You all are very talented. You wouldn't be here otherwise. Use this space that has been set up for you and share your vision with the world.

If you look at the "Latest Activity" column at the bottom of the center column, you will find out what has happened most recently, who our newest members are, the latest work that has been posted for viewing. You can even see what new groups were started or new videos were posted.

Speaking of groups, perhaps poets or scriptwriters want to start a group just to discuss your issues and interests, you can do that now. Anyone on the network can start a group and anyone on the network can join.

I would like to see the photos and videos that you post be a part of your creative endeavors. Create a web series and post episodes; show yourself reading your work or performing a song you wrote; post your photography and visual artwork. The sky is the limit.

The forum is the place for you to ask each other (or me) questions and get opinions and advice. Ask anything you want that has to do with your art or growing as a creative person. Someone may have faced the same issue and will have some wise words to share. The most recent discussions will be visible on the Home page, but if you click "View All," you can see all the discussions that are running.

The events section will contain events that TWAAP and its members are involved in. If you, personally, have an event that you would like to share like an art show, a play you are in or a story or poem that will be published, post it. Let us all share in your success.

This place is all about you and your art. I hope that it will run more smoothly and be more accessible than the other pages, although those will not cease to exist. They each serve a purpose.

Thanks for joining the network. Bring your friends. Let's have a community that grows along with us.

Ms. Z

Ooh creepy sappy!

"After"
Your voice is on the edge of brooding,
when you talk about me,
your lips keep moving,
long after you've quit talking,
your mind still dwells,
after the last word is said,
your eyes still watching,
even after I've turned away...

More sappy poetry...

"Guardian of the Watchtower"
I feel so inferior,
around you,
because you're so strong,
and I feel so weak,
and I know you're looking out for me,
and you know I worry about you,
you,
my looming watchtower,
you,
who Artemis would adore,
my friend,
my guardian angel...

Sappy poetry

"Protector"
You,
you have always been there,
you,
who stands by me,
unassumingly, as if you have always stood there,
mine,
you've always been,
and you care,
my friend,
my protector,
you,
my favorite hero...

"Death"

Death doesn't go for the worthy.
It lingers near the pure and joyous.
Leaving the depressed overly pained to be tortured.
Killing the faces showered with smiled rather than the faces soaked with tears of bloody pain.
It takles the memorable and leaves the scarred and hopeless.
But why?

"Untitled"

Why do I still expect to see you at my door?
Why do I yearn to see that sparkle you used to have when you saw me?
Why do I still want to hear you say you love me, even though you never ment it/
Why must I call my friends crying because you've hurt me so?
And most of all... why must I still love you?
Why can't I move on?
Why can't I find the words that describe how I feel?
Can you hear my screams for you?!?
Should I scream louder?
Or are you purposely letting me fall?
It hurts, please catch me.
